Eco-Chic

All ICMA paper is recyclable .

In turn, we recycle the waste material from the production process, which is mostly paper and cardboard, by putting it back on the market for recycled paper.

ICMA is FSC certified.

The mark of responsible forest management www.fsc-italia.it

We use environmentally-sustainable raw materials.

ICMA works with natural minerals, obtained without the need to open dedicated quarries. We then recycle the remainder to the precious natural materials once they have been used in their main applications.

Attention to our products from every angle

We produce paper that is free from heavy metals. Even aluminium, while not a heavy metal, has been eliminated from our coatings so as to avoid problems of eco-compatibility at the end of the life-cycle of the paper, which otherwise could not be composted or burned.
Our laboratory research teams have studied coatings that use the minimum amount of chlorine so that we can offer our customers ECF (Elementary Chlorine Free) and TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) paper.
Furthermore, all ICMA products are free from phthalates, which are toxic if ingested by children.
We are constantly kept up-to-date about REACh standards

Attention to emissions into the atmosphere.

ICMA coatings are water-based. Thus, there is no evaporation or emission of solvents during the manufacturing process.
Our paper is air-dried using a modern, low-emission natural gas boiler.

We are careful about the amount of drinkable water that we use and are mindful of its treatment process .

We have always recycled all of the water used in the manufacturing process and, in order to reduce the amount of drinkable water used in our production process, we purify the waste water by distillation so that we can re-use it in the manufacturing process rather than dispose of it.

The reduction of energy consumption and producing our own energy from renewable sources.

The plants are constantly upgraded and improved in order to reduce the amount of energy needed.
ICMA produces about 40% of the electricity needed itself through solar panels.
