What do the ICMA product codes mean?
The product codes for ICMA paper are usually formed by two numbers separated by a slash. E.G. 320/211
The first number represents the COLOUR
The second number, after the slash, corresponds to the EMBOSSING
In only a few cases will you find a single code. In that case, the product is identified directly and not through its two main elements.
How do you use the ICMA sample book?
Each range of paper is distinguished by a different name and colour, so that it is easily identifiable.
The cover of each range contains the available colours, indicating the reference code.
By pressing the coloured corner of each colour chart, you can access the technical sheets, the table of information about formats, availability, substances, standard set-ups and larger samples of each type of paper listed on the cover.
Thus you can access all the information that might be useful to help you plan and choose the paper that best suits you.
How come I can only find samples in substances suited for lining among the sample sheets?
The answer is very practical. It would not be possible to contain all of them in the 0.8 cm thickness of each individual colour chart.
We have therefore opted to show you all of the colours and designs for each individual colour chart and include the examples of our standard substances in the INFO summary.
What are the delivery schedules?
Many ICMA paper types are available from the warehouse, which means that they can be shipped as soon as order is passed.
For those types of paper that are not held in the warehouse, the waiting time can vary depending on the schedule. Our sales staff are on hand to answer you in real time regarding each individual production requested.
Can I get a paper that is not in the sample book?
Of course. For that, we suggest you consult the tailor made section of this website.
And if I like an embossed paper that is available in another colour?
Sure. For that, we suggest you check out the tailor made section of this website.
Can I have ICMA paper plasticised?
ICMA paper DOES NOT NEED PLASTICIZATION. The specific production process and the quality of the raw materials make our products resistant, even without plasticisation.
In any case, the plain product can be plasticised. The plasticisation of embossed paper could result in air bubbles in the relief effect on the paper and drastically reduce the 3D effect of the design.
The plasticization of Gemma and Metalli Satinati papers may reduce or even eliminate the opalescent effect.
Flocked products simply cannot be plasticized.
Food contact compliance or not?
All paper and cardboard produced by ICMA can be used for food products, provided that they DO NOT come into DIRECT contact with the food.
In the food industry, our paper is usually used for making secondary packaging, both for slow food and for confectionary and chocolate.
